Children's Home

The Dreamland Children’s Home of South Sudan was started in 2007 by Pastor Stanley LoNathan to take care of almost 150 children who were orphaned by war, poverty & disease. In 2015, civil war broke out in South Sudan and the children were evacuated to the Rhino Refugee Camp in Northern Uganda. The children continued their education while in the refugee camp, and through the financial support of generous people in the United States, many have finished their education.

 

Pastor Clint Schwartz traveled to South Sudan in 2008 and met the children face to face and decided that day to do whatever he could to help them not only survive, but to also thrive. Since then, he has brought dozens of people to South Sudan and Uganda to love, play & pray over these children.

 

Many of the children have finished their education and are now living independently on their own, but we currently have 66 children who are still needing support from Lighthouse Vineyard Church to continue or finish their education in 2027.
