

Volunteering
At Lighthouse Vineyard Church we believe that volunteering is an important step as we practice our faith because it helps further our relationship with God. We have several teams that you can join to start serving here at the church.
Service Teams
Building Maintenance Team
Purpose
The building maintenance team works on all aspects of maintenance of the church building and also on the structures on the church grounds.
Commitment Level
As needed, usually once a month.
Requirements
Knowledge with minor maintenance repairs or ability to lend a helping hand.
Catering Team
Purpose
The catering team prepares meals and hosts events that involve food here at the church.
Commitment Level
As needed, usually once a month.
Requirements
Ability to cook and prepare yummy food or willingness to help set up and cleanup at events.
Children’s Ministry Team(s)
Purpose
The children’s ministry team teaches our children (birth thru 5th grade) the fundamentals of the Bible through pre-designed lessons. Service on this team includes teaching lessons and caring for young children. There are currently three levels of service: Babies (newborn - 3 year olds), Early elementary age (4 year olds – 2nd grade), Upper Elementary (3rd grade – 5th grade).
Commitment Level
Every other week for one Sunday service.
Requirements
All service in children’s ministry areas must pass a background check.
Cleaning Team
Purpose
The cleaning team cleans and disinfects the building after Sunday services and after large church events to keep the building looking clean and tidy. Tasks include vaccuming, removing trash, cleaning windows, and cleaning restrooms.
Commitment Level
Typically once a month.
Requirements
No major requirements needed.
Coffee Team
Purpose
The coffee team brews coffee as well as sets up and tears down the coffee counter for Sunday services.
Commitment Level
Typically once a month. Coffee team members will come in 30-60 minutes prior to each Sunday service. Tear down happens during second service.
Requirements
No major requirements needed.
Counting Team
Purpose
The counting team counts and records the tithes and offerings after the weekend services for accounting and budget purposes.
Commitment Level
1-2 Sundays per month after last service.
Requirements
Must meet the requirements of Leadership.
Creative Design Team
Purpose
The creative design team makes the PowerPoint slides for the weekend messages as well as graphics for upcoming events.
Commitment Level
Every 2-4 weeks for PowerPoint creation and as needed for event graphics.
Requirements
Knowledge of PowerPoint and visual/creative skills.
Greeting Team
Purpose
The greeting team welcomes people to church on Sunday mornings. They serve as the first impression and strive to welcome to the guests of Lighthouse Vineyard Church.
Commitment Level
Typically once a month.
Requirements
Ability to smile and say hello
Grounds Maintenance Team
Purpose
The grounds maintenance team helps keep the grounds of the church looking beautiful. This team trims bushes, pulls weeds, edges, and trims (weed-whacks).
Commitment Level
Typically once a month during Spring, Summer & Fall.
Requirements
No major requirements.
Livestream Team
Purpose
The video team films and records the Sunday services for use on our social media platforms and church website.
Commitment Level
About once a month during both Sunday services.
Requirements
Ability to learn simple computer skills including running a video switcher.
Media Team
Purpose
The media team runs the projectors and lights during each weekend service.
Commitment Level
Typically one weekend a month; serving on weekends includes coming to worhip rehearsal on Thursday nights and serving during both services on Sunday morning.
Requirements
Basic computer skills.
Photography Team
Purpose
The photography team takes still photos and occasional videos during weekend services and special events. These photos are used to promote future events as well as highlight the events on our social media pages and church website.
Commitment Level
As needed, typically once a month.
Requirements
Basic undertanding of photography including the use of different camera lenses and lighting. Must have your own camera.
Prayer Room Service Team
Purpose
Our prayer room team creates a space for people to come and encounter God through worship and prayer on Tuesday nights and Thursday mornings.
Commitment Level
3 times a month; twice a month serving and once a month attending.
Requirements
Leadership requirements for both prayer team and worship team.
Prayer Team – Sunday Services
Purpose
To pray for individuals requesting prayer after each Sunday service.
Commitment Level
Typically serve once or twice a month.
Requirements
Prayer team members must meet Leadership requirements.
Registration Team
Purpose
The registration team works at the Welcome Center to help register and sign people up for classes, events, and other happenings at the church. They handle all the cash and credit card payments for those events.
Commitment Level
One to two times per month during both services.
Requirements
Attention to detail and good with money.
Sound Team
Purpose
The sound team mixes the sound for the worship team and speakers for Sunday services as well as special events.
Commitment Level
Once a month. On serving weekends, the sound team volunteers come to worship rehearsal on Thursday nights and also serve both services on Sunday morning.
Requirements
Ability to run(or ability to learn to run) a digital sound board. Also the ability to hear (or learn to hear) the different frequencies and volumes of a sound mix and adjust accordingly. Sound team members also must be able to react quickly and accordingly for different sound functions.
Student Ministry
Purpose
Volunteers in student ministries help pour into the lives of students through interactions during the weekly meetings. They also help lead group discussions during the meetings.
Commitment Level
Weekly on Sunday evenings.
Requirements
All service in student ministry areas requires a background check and meet the Leadership Requirements.
Usher Team
Purpose
The usher team helps with seating, handouts, and counting attendance during our Sunday services. Ushers also help maintain a peaceful auditorium by addressing minor distractions to services.
Commitment Level
1-2 times per month for one service per weekend.
Requirements
A friendly and smiling face.
Welcome Team
Purpose
The welcome team helps by providing answers to general questions about events and church processes, especially with newcomers. They staff the welcome desk and answer questions that guests might have as well as give out newcomer gifts.
Commitment Level
About 1 time per month for both services.
Requirements
A general grasp of the church events as well as being able to answer newcomer and guest questions.
Worship Team
Purpose
Worship team members lead the congregation in worship during Sunday services as well as occasional events such as More Holy Spirit night.
Commitment Level
One or two times a month. On serving weekends, the worship team attends worhip rehearsal on Thursday nights and also serves during both services on Sunday morning. Worship team member are also expected to practice music/songs prior to their service weekend.
Requirements
Ability to sing or play an instrument at a performance level. Worship team members are also required to audition for a spot on the worship team.
Young Adult Service Teams
Purpose
Young adult service teams include worship, sound, and media & lights. These teams mirror the teams described above, but service is during the Young Adult meetings on Wednesday nights.
Commitment Level
1-2 times per month.
Requirements
Young adults are any person post-high school and not yet 30; no other requirements are necessary.
